In Cusco, there are many attractions to explore, including Palccoyo. This lesser-known site, located 20 km from Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain), is less crowded and offers a shorter hiking experience. We also offer a one-day tour that includes visits to the four lagoons.

Itinerary

CUSCO – CHECACUPE – COMBAPATA – PALCCOYO – 4 LAGOONS

We will collect you from your hotel at 6:30 AM and set off from Cusco in our private vehicle, heading south to Checacupe and then on to Combapata. The journey will take approximately three hours. Once we arrive, we’ll continue along a truck road and begin our walk, which will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the vibrant Palccoyo Mountain (a distance of approximately 1.5 km).

Upon reaching the Palccoyo Mountain of Colours, situated at 4,900 metres above sea level, you’ll have time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and take photos. We will then return via the same path to our lunch spot. After lunch, we’ll explore the touristic circuit of the four lagoons, where you can observe various migratory birds that call these lagoons home. We’ll then make our way back to Cusco, arriving between 5:00 and 6:00 PM.
